JESENSKI VETER

Noč. Nič z druge strani
posluša
šumenje krošenj v jesenskem vetru.

AUTUMN WIND

Night. Nothingness from the other side
listens
to the rustling of treetops in the autumn wind.

* * *

Piski vlaka v daljavi. Živali v zavetju.
Hitro naraščanje vode v potoku.
Enakomerno kapljanje se razprostira
skozi dan kot mantre.

Train whistling in the distance. Animals in shelter.
Water rising rapidly in the stream.
A steady dripping spreads
through the day like mantras.

* * *

Tema, posuta z listjem.
V daljavi luč ulične svetilke.
Zraven ženska in moški padata
v naročje brezdanjosti.

Darkness strewn with leaves.
In the distance the light of a street lamp.
Close by a man and a woman fall
into the arms of infinity.

NEDELJA

Nedeljski dež je ponehal.
Ostala je mesečina
in svetloba ženskih pogledov.

SUNDAY

The Sunday rain has stopped.
Moonlight remains
and the light of women’s glances.

POZDRAV

Pozdrav novembru, ki se drgne ob šipo
kot prikupna mačka,
Pozdrav butanskima menihoma s fotografije na steni,
ker verjameta življenju,
pozdrav plamenom poezije v atomih mojega telesa.

A SALUTATION

Hail to November rubbing against the window pane
like a pleasing cat,
Hail to the Bhutanese monks in the photo on the wall
because they believe life,
Hail to the flames of poetry in the atoms of my body.

FEBRUARSKO NEBO

Kako čudno se v teh mrzlih februarskih
popoldnevih obarva oblačno nebo,
kako preprosto in neopazno.

FEBRUARY SKY

How strangely coloured the overcast sky
in these cold February afternoons,
how simple and subtle.
